Indian Crude Import Price Surges to 3-Month High Amid Global Market Turbulence
India's crude oil import price has reached $99.35 per barrel, its highest in three months, due to global tensions and shaky oil markets.
This surge is linked to rising global prices, with Brent crude currently trading at $96.28 a barrel, a 9% increase over the past few weeks.
In response, India's gasoline and diesel benchmarks have also spiked, although fuel demand remains strong, with gasoline use jumping nearly 8% in August compared to last year.
Experts warn that if high prices persist, pump prices may rise as well, despite currently remaining largely unchanged.
