Indian Equities Surge on Crude Price Drop

Indian equity markets opened higher on Monday due to easing crude oil prices.

Brent's sharp fall from $102 four days ago to around $93 boosted market sentiment and fueled gains across Indian benchmarks.

The Nifty 50 index rose 0.68% to 23,928.40, while the Sensex gained 549.21 points or 0.72% to 76,608.98.

All sectoral indices traded in positive territory during the opening session, with Nifty MidSmall Financial Services emerging as the top gainer, rising 1.29%.

Market experts attributed the sharp decline in Brent crude prices to a key positive for market sentiment, noting that a sustained drop in crude prices could sustain a mild rally in the market.
