Indian Fuel Prices Unchanged Amid Global Brent Price Hike
The global benchmark Brent crude price rose 0.3% on Friday to trade around $87.14 per barrel, amid tensions between the US and Iran over the Strait of Hormuz.
Despite this increase, retail fuel prices in India remained stable across cities, with no change since the last major price adjustment on May 25.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas clarified that there is 'no verified evidence of widespread engine damage' from using E20 ethanol-blended petrol, citing years of scientific testing and real-world usage.
