Indian Gold and Silver Prices Plunge Amid Record Highs
Gold and silver prices have dropped in India on July 28, according to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). Silver is now ₹6,543 cheaper per kilogram at ₹2.18 lakh/kg, while gold has fallen by ₹1,907 to ₹1.43 lakh/10 grams.
The price of 24-carat gold in major cities across the country varies, with Delhi seeing a price of ₹1,44,320/10 grams and Mumbai at ₹1,44,170/10 grams.
This decline comes after gold reached an all-time high of ₹1.76 lakh on January 29, while silver hit a record ₹3.86 lakh in the same month.
Commodity expert Ajay Kedia forecasts that by the end of the year, gold could once again reach ₹1.60 lakh and silver could reach ₹2.80 lakh.
