The precious metals market in India has seen a significant surge in prices over the last week. According to market data, the price of gold has increased by 1800 rupees per 10 grams, while silver has witnessed a massive jump of 10000 rupees per kilogram, bringing its current market price to 240000 rupees per kilogram.

The price of 24-carat gold in Delhi is currently trading at 145080 rupees per 10 grams, with 22-carat gold priced at 133000 rupees per 10 grams. In contrast, silver continues to maintain its strong position, reaching the 240000 rupee mark on July 26.

The domestic price hike is closely linked to the high levels maintained in the global market, where spot gold is trading at approximately 4052 dollars and 78 cents per ounce, while spot silver is hovering around 58 dollars and 11 cents per ounce. These international benchmarks play a crucial role in determining the daily rates in the Indian market.
