Gold futures declined in India on September 4, snapping a two-day rally. The price drop of Rs 431 brought the value to Rs 1.55 lakh per 10 grams.

The decrease was largely due to profit-taking after recent gains and investor caution ahead of the US nonfarm payrolls data release.

Market participants are awaiting the US report, which could determine the next move in the dollar, treasury yields, and precious metals, according to Gaurav Garg, Head of Research at brokerage platform Lemonn.
