Indian Gold Futures Drop by Rs 849 Amid Weaker Spot Demand
Gold futures in India plummeted by Rs 849 to Rs 1,41,972 per 10 grams on MCX due to weaker spot demand. Global gold prices also witnessed a decline.
New Delhi: Gold prices in the country dropped significantly as gold futures on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) traded lower by Rs 849, or 0.59%, at Rs 1,41,972 per 10 grams in business turnover of 729 lots.
Analysts pointed out that the decline in precious metal prices was attributed to weaker spot demand. Globally, gold futures fell by 0.47% to USD 4,030.29 per ounce in New York.
