Indian Gold Futures Prices Soar on Spot Demand and Speculator Activity
Gold futures prices surged in India as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand. The price of gold futures rose by Rs 654 to Rs 1.49 lakh per 10 grams in futures trade for October delivery.
The increase was attributed to the build-up of fresh positions by participants, with analysts stating that this led to a rise in precious metal prices.
Globally, gold futures also rose, increasing by 0.18% to $4,254.38 per ounce in New York.
