The Indian gold market experienced another robust day of trading on August 7th, with both gold and silver continuing their uptrend. The growing optimism about global economic conditions, combined with the possibility that the US Fed might postpone monetary policy tightening, contributed to this rise in prices.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver future contracts rose by ₹8,040 per kg (3.56%) to reach ₹2,33,876 while gold September future contracts gained ₹2,271 (1.54%) to ₹1,49,793 per 10 grams.

The spot gold rate increased by about 1.6% to $4,308.92 an ounce, making it the highest performance in almost seven months with a weekly gain of more than 6.6%. The domestic prices also saw a significant gain, with the average all India rate for 24K gold being ₹14,989 per gram.
