On September 4, gold prices in India saw a slight increase. The rate of 24K gold stood at Rs 15,536 per gram, while 22K gold was priced at Rs 14,241 per gram, and 18K gold at Rs 11,652 per gram. These rates can vary across cities and jewellers due to local taxes, supply conditions, making charges, and other applicable costs.

The prices of silver also rose marginally, with a rate of Rs 250.10 per gram and Rs 2,50,100 per kg. Silver is influenced by industrial demand in addition to global precious-metal prices, movements in the US dollar, changes in the Indian rupee, interest-rate expectations, and geopolitical developments.

It's essential for buyers to check the purity, making charges, GST, and final invoice value when purchasing gold jewellery, rather than just comparing quoted per-gram rates. Local jewellers may quote different prices depending on various factors.
