Gold prices in India surged to a three-month high on Thursday, reaching Rs 1.62 lakh per 10 grams, while silver prices climbed to a seven-week high of Rs 2.45 lakh per kilogram.

The rally was driven by a weak US dollar and lower Treasury yields, which made precious metals more attractive to investors.

Saumil Gandhi, Senior Analyst - Commodities at HDFC Securities, said that gold hovered near its highest level in more than two months on Thursday, supported by the sharp decline in the US dollar and Treasury yields.
