Indian Gold Prices Hold Steady Amid Festive Season Demand
Gold prices in India remained stable at the close of the week, with 24-karat gold holding steady at INR 1,56,670 per 10 grams and 22-karat gold at INR 1,43,610 per 10 grams. Market rates were largely uniform across major metropolitan hubs, but regional variations persisted due to local duties and transportation costs.
The prices have maintained a resilient posture following recent global macroeconomic cues, currency fluctuations, and steady domestic demand as the festive season approaches. Analysts note that bullion trends continue to balance international market corrections against local retail consumption patterns.
Buyers are advised to verify purity standards by checking for the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) hallmark and a unique Hallmark Unique Identification (HUID) number, which ensures quality and proper resale value. The prices have been maintained for 24-karat gold at INR 15,667 per gram in financial hubs like Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.
