Indian Gold Prices Jump Rs 9,000 in 2026 as Silver Seeks Recovery
Gold prices in India have continued their upward trend, increasing by Rs 178 to Rs 1.42 lakh per 10 grams on Wednesday, July 29.
This marks a modest gain for the precious metal, which has seen its price rise by around Rs 9,000 so far in 2026.
Despite this increase, gold remains well below its all-time high of Rs 1.76 lakh per 10 grams, recorded on January 29.
Silver prices also rose, increasing by Rs 1,270 to Rs 2.19 lakh per kilogram, although the metal still lags behind its record high of Rs 3.86 lakh per kilogram set on the same date as gold's peak.
Commodity market experts recommend investing in phases to reduce the impact of market volatility and have projected that gold could recover to around Rs 1.60 lakh per 10 grams by the end of the year, while silver may climb to Rs 2.80 lakh per kilogram.
