Gold prices plummeted in India after a four-day rally, ending at ₹1.66 lakh per 10 grams, down from ₹1.67 lakh in the previous session.

The decline was attributed to weakness in overseas markets and a stronger US dollar ahead of important American inflation data.

Silver prices, on the other hand, rebounded by ₹500 to ₹2.50 lakh per kilogram, despite remaining under mild pressure in international markets.
