Indian Gold Prices Plummet on Weaker Demand
Gold futures declined on low demand in India, with prices dropping by Rs 208 to Rs 1,54,252 per 10 grams in futures trade. The October delivery contracts traded lower by Rs 208, or 0.13 per cent, at Rs 1,54,252 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 2,452 lots.
Analysts attributed the decline in precious metal prices to weaker spot demand. Globally, gold futures declined by 0.12 per cent to $4,432.26 per ounce in New York.
