The Indian market for gold and silver saw prices remain largely stable on August 18. According to various top jewellers, including Joyalukkas and Malabar Gold & Diamonds, gold prices ranged from ₹14,290 per gram to ₹15,567 per gram across major states.

Tanishq's 22K gold rate stood at ₹14,315 per gram, while its corresponding 24-carat rate was ₹15,022 per gram. These retail prices are influenced by brand-specific pricing policies and regional market conditions.

Market participants will continue to track global economic data, US interest rate expectations, and currency movements for direction in precious metal prices. The Indian government has also allowed early redemption of six Sovereign Gold Bond series in August, with specific dates and processes available for eligible investors.
