Indian Gold Prices Remain Stable Despite Global Decline
Gold and silver prices in India remained relatively stable on Friday, July 24. Spot gold traded lower by 0.2%, or $8, at $4,042.47 per ounce, while spot silver fell 0.2% to $57.5 per ounce.
The metal was on track to decline for the second consecutive session due to rising crude oil prices weighing on its appeal.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold traded 0.37% lower at Rs 1,42,288 per 10 grams, while silver fell 0.43% to Rs 2,18,437 per kg.
The India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) sets the daily 'base price' of gold in India, which serves as the national benchmark for bullion rates.
