Indian Gold Prices Rise as Tensions Ease in Middle East
Gold prices in India rose on July 27, with retail rates increasing across major cities. According to GoodReturns, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹14,586 per gram, a gain of ₹93 from the previous day. This was higher than the price of 22-carat gold, which increased by ₹85 to ₹13,370 per gram.
However, silver prices remained unchanged, trading at ₹240 per gram and ₹2,40,000 per kilogram. The stability in silver prices came despite gains in international silver markets.
The increases in gold prices can be attributed to the de-escalation of tensions in the Middle East region and the weakening of the US dollar, which has reduced costs for gold buyers in other currencies.
