Indian Gold Prices Rise on Tuesday Amid Softer Dollar
Gold prices in India rose on Tuesday after markets reopened from a three-day break. The national 24-karat gold rate increased to ₹1,53,170 per 10 grams, marking a gain of ₹280 over Friday's price.
This modest advance comes after a choppy week for gold prices, which swung sharply in both directions. Market participants cited a softer US dollar and steady Treasury yields as factors supporting the metal.
The uptick in gold prices was reflected across various cities in India, with most cities posting identical rises of ₹280 per 10 grams for 24-karat gold and ₹250 for 22-karat gold. The 18-karat gold rate also moved up by ₹210 per 10 grams.
