Indian Gold Prices Rise, Silver Falls as Market Remains Volatile

Gold prices in India continued their upward trend on Thursday, July 30, as per the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA). The price of 24-carat gold increased by ₹177 per 10 grams, reaching ₹1.42 lakh.

In contrast, silver prices experienced a decline of ₹789 per kilogram, bringing the rate down to ₹2.17 lakh per kg.

The bullion market has witnessed significant fluctuations throughout 2026. Gold prices have risen by nearly ₹9,000 per 10 grams since the beginning of the year. On December 31, 2025, 10 grams of gold was priced at around ₹1.33 lakh, which has now climbed to ₹1.42 lakh.

Silver, however, has moved in the opposite direction. The metal was priced at ₹2.30 lakh per kg at the end of 2025, but has now fallen to ₹2.17 lakh, reflecting a decline of about ₹13,000 per kg.
