Indian Gold Prices Soar Amid US-Iran Tensions
Gold prices in India remained elevated on Friday, with Delhi recording the highest rate for 24-karat gold among major cities. According to GoodReturns, 24-karat gold was priced at ₹1,85,303 per 10 grams in Delhi, while 22-karat gold stood at ₹1,69,868. Silver was priced at ₹2,60,000 per kilogram.
In Mumbai and Bengaluru, 24-karat gold was priced at ₹1,85,130 per 10 grams, with 22-karat gold standing at ₹1,69,695. Both cities reported the same silver price of ₹2,60,000 per kilogram. Chennai also saw similar rates, but with a higher silver price of ₹2,65,000 per kilogram.
The prices rose in futures trade due to firm spot demand and fresh positions created by speculators. Analysts attributed the rise to these market participants taking new positions, lifting precious metal prices.
