Indian Gold Prices Soar to ₹1.45 Lakh, Silver Tops ₹2.4 Lakh
Gold prices in India have been trending upward, reaching new highs across major cities. As of August 6, gold traded at ₹1,45,910 per 10 grams in Delhi and ₹1,45,760 per 10 grams in Mumbai. Silver, on the other hand, crossed the ₹2.4 lakh mark, trading at ₹2,40,100 per kilogram in both Delhi and Mumbai.
The prices remain largely stable across top jewellers, with Joyalukkas quoting ₹13,200 per gram for 22K gold and Malabar Gold & Diamonds quoting ₹14,422 per gram for 24K gold. Market participants are tracking global economic data, US interest rate expectations, and currency movements to gauge further direction in precious metal prices.
Vandana Bharti of SMC Global suggests that despite a recent correction, gold may rally to ₹1.48 lakh within the next 1-2 weeks due to various market factors.
