Indian Gold Prices Stabilize Amid Global Market Flux
Gold prices in India have remained largely stable on August 19, with minimal changes from the previous day. The current price of 24K gold stands at ₹15,590 per gram, a mere ₹1 increase from the previous day's rate of ₹15,589.
The price of 22K and 18K gold also saw a slight rise of ₹1 each, with prices now standing at ₹14,291 and ₹11,693 respectively. The prices have been largely influenced by global production and supply, with China being the world's largest gold producer.
However, other factors such as consumer demand, global economic conditions, interest rates, inflation, currency movements, and geopolitical developments also play a significant role in determining gold prices. A decline in production could lead to higher prices if demand remains strong, while increased production can ease supply pressures.
