Indian Gold Prices Stabilize Amid Global Market Trends
Gold prices in India remained relatively stable across major cities on August 6, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. The retail rates for 24-carat and 22-carat gold were largely unchanged from the previous session, with minimal fluctuations observed in the domestic bullion market.
The steady demand was attributed to seasonal buying ahead of the festive and wedding period, which has traditionally supported sentiment in the precious metals market. Analysts noted that domestic gold prices are expected to track movements in global markets, with investors closely monitoring economic data, interest rate expectations, and geopolitical developments for further direction.
Market participants observed that international trends, US dollar fluctuations, central bank policy expectations, and domestic demand continue to influence gold prices. The United States' apparent willingness to 'return to its commitments' was seen as a potential factor in the market's stability, according to Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi.
