Indian Gold Prices Surge Amid Strong Spot Demand
New Delhi's gold market saw a surge in prices on Thursday, reaching Rs 1.53 lakh per 10 grams due to strong spot demand and fresh positions created by speculators.
The Multi Commodity Exchange witnessed the yellow metal contract for October delivery trading higher by Rs 231, or 0.15 percent, at Rs 1,53,994 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 867 lots.
Analysts attribute the rise in gold prices to market participants creating fresh positions, as seen on other exchanges like New York where gold futures rose 0.47 percent to USD 4,419.57 per ounce.
