Gold and silver prices in India rose on August 3 due to investor optimism about the US-Iran dialogue. Market analysts stated that softer demand in the physical market was a key driver of gold price declines.

The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) saw gold futures for October delivery fall by Rs 818, or 0.56 percent, to Rs 144,022 per 10 grams. Silver prices also fell due to weakness in the broader precious metals segment.

On the international market, gold futures dropped 0.69 percent to $4,075 per ounce in New York. This decline reflects cautious investor sentiment.
