Indian Precious Metal Prices Surge Amid Global Uncertainties
Gold and silver prices in India have seen an uptick on September 4, coinciding with the celebrations of Krishna Janmashtami. This marks the end to the downward trend observed over the past few days.
The rise has caught the attention of both festive shoppers and investors planning to buy precious metals. In most major cities, the rates of 24K and 22K gold have registered an increase during the morning trade.
In New Delhi, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹155,510 per 10 grams, while Mumbai reported a rate of ₹155,360 per 10 grams. The price of silver also continued its upward trend, trading at around ₹250,100 per kilogram on September 4.
The metal's strength is reflected in the international market, where spot silver was hovering near $65.77 per ounce. Global factors such as international gold and silver prices, movements in the US dollar, central bank interest rate decisions, global economic conditions, geopolitical tensions, and investor demand for safe-haven assets all play a key role in influencing precious metal prices in India.
