The prices of gold and silver have declined over the past five trading days in India's domestic bullion market. According to data from the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), silver has recorded a sharper fall compared to gold.

Silver became Rs 6,536 cheaper per kg during this period, with its price falling to Rs 2,28,920 per kg by the end of the week. The decline in silver prices was accompanied by weakness in silver futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).

The price of 10 grams of 24-carat gold also declined during this period, from Rs 1,54,884 to Rs 1,51,938. This represents a fall of Rs 2,946 per 10 grams in five trading sessions.
