Indian Stock Market Ends Flat Amid Elevated Oil Prices and US Market Uncertainty
The Indian stock market saw a flat day on Friday, following Thursday's rebound. The Sensex and Nifty indices ended largely unchanged from their previous close, with the Sensex rising by just 3.11 points to 77,540.83 and the Nifty gaining 20.15 points to 24,252.
The market's cautious sentiment was attributed to elevated crude oil prices due to geopolitical uncertainties and a sharp fall in US markets. The ongoing standoff between the United States and Iran has kept energy markets on edge, with Brent crude trading at $93.84 per barrel.
'Investor sentiment remained cautious heading into the weekend as a rebound in US Treasury yields and persistently elevated crude oil prices discouraged investors from taking aggressive directional positions,' said Hariselvan Radhakrishnan, Founder & CEO of HST Wealth.
