Indian Stock Market Opens Higher Despite Crude Oil Price Surge
The Indian stock market started Wednesday's trade on a higher note despite rising crude oil prices.
The Nifty 50 index rose 210 points, or 0.88%, to trade at 24,200, while the Sensex jumped 740 points, or 0.96%, to trade at 77,505.
Larsen & Toubro, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, Bharti Airtel, and Bajaj Finance were among the top gainers in the Nifty 50.
Rajesh Palviya, Head of Research at Axis Direct, noted that 'the market bias remains constructive as long as the Nifty sustains above the 23,880 support zone.'
