Indian Stock Market Rises on Lower Oil Prices and Cooling Tensions

The Indian stock market is expected to open higher on Monday following a decline in Brent crude oil prices by over 5%. The GIFT Nifty, which tracks the performance of the Nifty 50 index in international markets, was trading up by 130 points at 23,958.

The drop in oil prices has eased concerns regarding global supply and inflation. Lower oil costs can help reduce the import bill, strengthen the rupee, and provide relief from inflationary pressure.

Institutional investors have been a significant factor in recent market liquidity. Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) acted as a buffer on Friday, with net purchases totaling Rs 5,453 crore.
