Indian Stocks Plunge as Oil Prices Soar Above $91
Indian stock markets declined in early trade on Tuesday due to elevated Brent crude oil prices above $91 and rising tensions in West Asia.
The Sensex pack, which includes Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints, InterGlobe Aviation, Infosys, HCL Tech, and Tech Mahindra, were among the major laggards.
However, Reliance Industries, Sun Pharma, Maruti, and Axis Bank managed to buck the trend as winners.
V K Vijayakumar, Chief Investment Strategist at Geojit Investments Ltd, pointed out two key factors that may impact the market: Brent crude prices and US 10-year bond yields.
