Indian Stocks Surge as Volumes Jump Amid Global Market Volatility
A number of stocks experienced a significant surge in trading volumes on Wednesday, amid market volatility.
The Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, declined by 1% each due to weakness in global markets, particularly crude oil prices.
Among the top volume gainers were EMS Limited, Expleo Solutions, Windlas Biotech, AKI India, and Heritage Foods, which saw their share prices increase between 6% and 20%.
EMS Limited's stock price rose 10% to ₹409.5 per share after it received the lowest bidder status for a sewerage work project in Rajasthan, with an estimated order value of approximately ₹21,864.75 lakhs.
