Indian Stocks Tipped for Busy Day Amid Record-High Copper Prices
The Indian stock market is set for a busy day on August 7, with over 206 companies scheduled to release their quarterly earnings. Among them are State Bank of India (SBI), Titan Company, Hindalco Industries, and Power Finance Corporation.
Copper-linked stocks such as Hindustan Copper, Hindalco, and Vedanta may be in focus due to the recent surge in copper prices to a record high. US copper futures climbed to around $6.90 per pound on Thursday, extending the rally in the industrial metal widely used in construction, electronics, transportation, and AI-related applications.
Lupin reported a 33.3% year-on-year increase in sales to ₹8,217 crore, while EBITDA (including forex and other income) jumped 42.8% YoY to ₹2,579.9 crore. Blue Star's consolidated net profit declined by 15.26% to ₹102.5 crore for the June quarter of FY27.
Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) posted a consolidated net profit of ₹13,492 crore, reflecting a 22.81% year-on-year jump in the April-June quarter of FY27. Its net premium income advanced 6.7% YoY to ₹1.28 lakh crore during the quarter.
