India's Essential Supplies Uninterrupted Amid West Asian Crisis

The Indian government has assured that there is no shortage of essential supplies in the country, despite the ongoing crisis in West Asia. According to officials from key ministries, including Petroleum and Natural Gas, External Affairs, Agriculture, and Civil Aviation, measures are being taken to ensure stability in fuel, fertilizers, and agricultural inputs.

Agriculture Minister informed that there is an adequate availability of seeds for the upcoming Kharif 2026 season, with a surplus of over 19 lakh quintals. Positive trends have been recorded across major crops such as paddy, soybean, maize, groundnut, and pulses.

Fuel supply remains uninterrupted, with all refineries operating at high capacity. Retail fuel prices for petrol and diesel remain unchanged, thanks to the government's decision to reduce excise duties and impose export levies on diesel and aviation turbine fuel.
