India's Gold and Silver Prices Plummet by ₹3,400/kg and ₹972/10g
Gold and silver prices have plummeted in India, causing concern for investors. The price of 24-carat gold has fallen by ₹972 to ₹1.52 lakh per 10 grams, while silver has dropped by ₹3,414 to ₹2.34 lakh per kilogram.
The decline is a significant correction from the record highs reached earlier this year on January 29, when gold touched ₹1.76 lakh per 10 grams and silver peaked at ₹3.86 lakh per kg.
Despite the current downturn, both metals have seen substantial gains overall in 2026, with gold increasing by ₹19,000 so far this year and silver rising by ₹4,000.
