Gold prices have remained high in India this year, despite fluctuations from their January record highs. According to Kaushlendra Sinha, CEO of IAGES (Indian Association for Gold Excellence and Standards), Indian consumers are shifting towards lightweight, trendy gold designs during the festive season.

The demand for traditional heavier pieces remains strong, particularly for weddings. As a result, analysts predict that consumer preferences will diverge between value-conscious purchases and traditional buying.

IAGES is helping consumers identify trusted jewelers through its network of 800 accredited partner outlets in over 250 cities across India.
