India's Gold Prices Dip Amid Global Tensions Easing
The gold price in India has seen a slight decrease as global tensions ease. According to Good Returns, the current price of 24-carat gold is Rs 15,289 per gram, down from Rs 15,551 on September 8. The prices of 22-carat and 18-carat gold have also decreased, standing at Rs 14,015 and Rs 11,467 per gram respectively.
The global market has been volatile due to ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Despite a brief dip in prices, international panic eased as formal diplomatic avenues were severed and capital flowed into gold as a safe-haven investment.
City-wise rates show that prices vary across different locations. In Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, the 24-carat gold price ranges from Rs 15,289 to Rs 15,304 per gram.
