India's Gold Prices Soar Amid Middle Eastern Tensions

The gold price in India has risen by Rs 530 for 24-carat and Rs 500 for 22-carat gold over the last 24 hours, amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East. According to the latest data, on August 17, 2026, the price of 24-carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,55,660 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold cost Rs 1,42,700 per 10 grams.

The prices have also increased for 18 Carat gold, which is now recorded at Rs 1,16,760 per 10 grams. Minor changes were observed across major cities in India, with the price of gold varying between Rs 1,55,660 and Rs 1,55,810 for 24-carat gold.

The silver rate in India remained flat over the last 24 hours, with a cost of Rs 2,50,000 per kilogram. In Bhubaneswar, the price of silver has also remained unchanged at Rs 2,55,000 on Monday.
