India's Silver Stocks Poised for Gains as Demand Surges
Silver prices have surged this year, driven by a supply deficit and growing demand from industries such as data centres, artificial intelligence, solar energy, and electric vehicles.
The US Treasury's announcement of increased bond buybacks has also contributed to the metal's rise, with yields slipping and the dollar weakening.
India's Hindustan Zinc is one of the top 10 silver producers globally, with its Sindesar Khurd mine being the second-largest silver-producing mine in the world.
The company has seen a significant increase in silver output, from 24 MT in FY06 to 627 MT in FY26, with sales and net profit growing at a 12% CAGR over the past five years.
Vedanta, which owns 60.71% of Hindustan Zinc, offers indirect exposure to India's only primary silver producer.
