Indonesia Cracks Saudi Snack Market with US$16,045 Export
Indonesia has made its mark in the Saudi Arabian market after successfully exporting Indonesian snack products worth US$16,045 (around Rp288.81 million) to the Kingdom. The inaugural shipment by PT Cipta Rasa Food was facilitated through a business matching programme organised by the Indonesian Trade Attache in Riyadh.
The Director General of National Export Development at the Ministry, Fajarini Puntodewi, said that this export demonstrates that Indonesian products have met global standards. The total trade between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia reached US$2.83 billion during the January-June 2026 period, with Indonesia's exports to the Kingdom amounting to US$1.02 billion.
According to Zulvri Yenni, Indonesian Trade Attache in Riyadh, Indonesia has a wide range of high-quality products with strong potential to penetrate the Saudi Arabian market. The main exports to Saudi Arabia include vehicles and their parts, animal or vegetable fats and oils, ships and boats, processed food products, as well as wood and wooden products.
