Indonesia's Gold Prices Surge on Rising Global Demand
The Ministry of Trade in Indonesia has announced that the export benchmark price (HPE) and reference price (HR) for gold have increased due to rising demand in the global market.
The HPE for gold has risen by 7.87% to $142,154.10 per kilogram, while the HR has increased to $4,421.49 per troy ounce from the previous period's $4,098.75 per t oz.
According to Director General of Foreign Trade Tommy Andana, the increase is driven by factors such as supply constraints and a positive sentiment for gold price movements amid uncertainty in the global financial market.
