Investors More Bullish on Gold and Silver Than Ever Before: Survey

Investors in gold and silver have never been more bullish on precious metals, according to BullionVault's latest survey. The twice-annual poll of over 950 investors shows that respondents expect significant gains by New Year 2027. For gold, the average forecast sees a gain of 13.8% from its current price, putting it at $4665 per troy ounce.

Silver is also expected to rise, with an average forecast of 16.7% growth, giving it a price of $69.60 per ounce by New Year 2027.

However, not all investors are bullish on precious metals. The survey found that nearly one-fifth of respondents are bearish, and the less bullion they own, the less bullish they are. Those who hold 1/6th or more of their investable wealth in precious metals tend to think prices will fall.

Monetary policy is seen as the single biggest driver of precious metals prices by over a quarter of investors, followed by geopolitics and government debt. Inflation, traditionally viewed as a key price driver for gold, ranks much lower at 6.3%.
