Iowa Farmer Eyes Harvest Marketing Opportunities Amid Rising Corn Prices
Iowa farmer Mark Jackson is gearing up for harvest and taking a proactive approach to grain marketing.
With corn prices nearing a three-year high, Jackson believes it's an opportune time to sell. 'We're raising this crop, let's also do a good job of selling this crop,' he says.
Jackson grows corn and soybeans in southeast Iowa and thinks it's essential for farmers to understand their cost of production and capitalize on market opportunities.
According to Jackson, there are currently $5 cash corn prices available in the market. He expects harvest to begin within the next couple of weeks.
