Iowa farmers are seeking a new trade deal with Mexico and Canada, according to Luke Lindberg, U.S. undersecretary of agriculture for trade and foreign agricultural affairs.

In a visit to the Iowa State Fair, Lindberg acknowledged that the largest buyers of U.S. corn, pork, and ethanol want a revised agreement.

Iowa farmers are eager for a new deal because Mexico and Canada account for a significant portion of their exports.
