Iowa Gas Prices Rise Four Cents to $3.79 Per Gallon
The latest AAA Weekly Fuel Report shows that Iowa's average price of regular unleaded gasoline has risen four cents over the past week. As of Wednesday, August 5, the average price across the state is $3.79 per gallon, which is 82 cents higher than the same time last year.
Nationally, the average price of regular unleaded was $4.08 per gallon on Wednesday, down one cent from last week. However, Iowa's diesel prices have increased, rising 14 cents this week to an average of $5.11 per gallon.
Crude oil prices have also moved lower, with West Texas Intermediate crude falling $9.37 per barrel to $75.61 and Brent crude dropping $11.01 to $79.52. Natural gas prices declined four cents at the Henry Hub reporting site, reaching $2.69 per million British thermal units.
