IPO Market Revives as Oil Prices Soar Amid US-Iran Tensions
India's IPO market has started to show signs of life again after a cautious start to 2026. Retail investors are returning to primary markets, driven by strong recent listings that have revived appetite.
The average retail subscription so far this year stands at 22.7 times, which is broadly in line with levels seen in 2023 and 2025.
However, oil prices are heading for their biggest weekly gain since July due to renewed US-Iran hostilities that have raised fears of prolonged disruption through the Strait of Hormuz.
