Iran Accused of Attacking Saudi Oil Tanker in Strait of Hormuz
Saudi Arabia has accused Iran of attacking an oil tanker owned by its national shipping company, Bahri, in the Strait of Hormuz. The attack resulted in the deaths of two Filipino seafarers on board the Sidr vessel.
The incident occurred late on Monday while the tanker was transiting the narrow waterway, which is a key route for global oil and liquefied natural gas trade.
Bahri had previously reported that two of its vessels were hit in the Red Sea in July and August, after Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis declared a naval blockade against Saudi Arabia.
