Iran Blockade Threat Sends Oil Prices Higher
Oil prices have stabilized after the US threatened to maintain its naval blockade of Iran indefinitely. The move has revived concerns about crude supply, leading to a slight increase in prices.
Brent futures rose by 9 cents to $87.16 a barrel, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures increased by 4 cents to $81.29 a barrel. The US had initially announced the blockade as part of its economic tactics against Iran.
