Iran Claims Victory in War Against US, Amid Plans for Bypassing Strait of Hormuz

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian claims that the world has accepted Iran's victory in its war against the US, stating that 'the entire world approved our victory and the US is hated.' This assertion comes as a result of Iran's control over the Strait of Hormuz, which it sees as a major win. The US had been seeking to force Iran to give up its nuclear program and fully reopen the crucial waterway to oil and natural gas tankers.

The Trump administration has touted an 'unprecedented' level of economic warfare against Iran, promising an 'economic D-Day' that aims to isolate the country's leadership. However, US Ambassador to Turkiye Tom Barrack appeared to contradict this stance when he stated that Israel still occupies the Golan Heights in violation of UN resolutions.

In a separate development, French President Emmanuel Macron and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman are set to meet in Paris to discuss ways to bypass the Strait of Hormuz. Proposals under consideration include increasing trade through Omani ports outside the Persian Gulf, expanding pipelines in Saudi Arabia, and developing new rail links.
